A vise that turns on a ball

The vise

Work IQ Tools’ IQ Vise. Hardened steel and cast aluminum. About 11.4 inches long, 13.1 wide, and 9.3 tall, and about 10 pounds.

The ball

The jaws sit on a ball and socket. A Quick Cam loosens the ball so the work can turn a full circle and stop at the angle you need, then tightens again.

The lock

For a harder job, an IQ Lok pin drops into one of eight positions so the ball stays put. Rated up to 130 ft-lbs.

The jaws

Flex-Fit jaws come with it, and they flip. One face is textured rubber for wood and other flat work. The other face is grooved rubber, with four vertical grooves, three horizontal grooves, and a 160-degree angle, for pipe, rod, and a bike frame. Leather, Pipe-Fit, Sure-Fit, and Woodworking jaws are separate.
